Java
Web Start Kit
This version of Operator Station
includes a Java Web Start deployment kit, a software
deployment technology that allows you to "pull"
a client application from an HTTP server onto a targeted
machine. There is a detailed white paper on this topic
included on the CD.
New Lot Comments Tab
A new tab, labeled Cmt, has
been added for lots. For any lot, this tab shows all
comments that have been entered in the lot's history.
To view the full text in a tooltip for a comment, hover your mouse
over the comment.
Lot Alias Function
You can now find and track in
lots by alias id. When this is enabled, you can enter
or scan an alias id into the Lot or Item field (instead
of a lot id) and Operator Station will highlight all
lots in the list that use that alias. You can also
switch back and forth between using Lot Ids and Alias
Ids, simply by using a toggle checkbox that will appear
beside the Lot/Item field.
Support for PROMIS 5.6
This version of Operator Station
supports PROMIS 5.6. Changes have been made to be
compatible with PROMIS TP changes.
New Style File for 640x480 Resolution Screens
This release includes a new
look and feel for clients who want to run Operator
Station in 640x480 resolution. This allows devices
with limited screens to be able to effectively run
Operator Station.
Component-Level Parameters
This version supports the new
component-level parameters introduced in PROMIS 5.6.
If you are using PROMIS 5.6, Operator Station supports
the ability to add, update, or delete component-level
parameters at the current step. Once enabled, you
can drill down on any component listed on the lot
Cont tab, to see the new component-level Param tab.
On this tab, you can add, update, or delete parameters.
Component-Level Tracking
This version supports the new
component-level tracking introduced in PROMIS 5.6.
If you are using PROMIS 5.6, Operator Station supports
the ability to record Process Job Id and State,
cluster PPId and chamber PPId, and component location
information. Once enabled, you can drill down on any
component listed on the lot "Cont" tab,
to see the new component-level Tracking tab.
Java Platform 2, v. 1.3.1
This version uses the latest
JRE available (v. 1.3.1).
Enhanced Toolbar, Workbar and Outarea
The internal structure of the toolbar, workbar and
outarea has been enhanced, to make it easier to customize
these buttons in your Local_Client.properties file.
For more details on how to customize toolbar and workbar
buttons, please refer to the updated System Configuration
& Management Guide, included on the CD.
Ability to Filter Lot Lists
into a Sub-search List
For any of the lot lists, you
have the option of being able to do sub-searches.
For example, if you have a long list of waiting lots,
you could enter TP2 in the Item field to narrow the
list down to only those lots that start with the characters
TP2. To return the display to show all waiting lots,
clear the Item field and click Enter.
Leverage Scheduling
This version of OS can be integrated
with Leverage Scheduling.
Enhanced Lot Summ Tab
The lot summary tab has been
redesigned into subtabs (Info, Yields and Comments),
for easier readability of information. Additional
fields have also been added, such as stock position,
lot priority, and the current production area and
location of the lot.
Change Lot Priority
OS now supports the ability
to change lot priority. This feature is available
on the newly redesigned Lot Summary tab.
Operation Header
When viewing an operation (for
example, when doing data collection), the header can
now show the lot id.
Track-In Confirmation
A new property allows you to
disable the track-in confirmation prompt.
Prior Step Return
A new property lets you prevent
the return of starting raw material.
Cont Tab Enhanced
The lot's Total Lot SubQty is
now displayed on the lot Cont tab.
Also added a property that allows separate splits
for unidentified lots (so user can enter different
quantities for splitting, and then click Done to split
into separate lots).
EqpUnit Summary:Status Field
The combo box of status codes
on the EqpUnit Summary tab box has been enhanced to
show the description beside each status code.
You can also customize (by a client property) your
preference for displaying the code (default) or the
full description in the Status field. However, long
descriptions may be truncated if you turn on this
property.
Highlight Similar Lots for
Batching
You can enable automatic highlighting
of all lots, which have similar
characteristics, in the waiting lots list.
Automatic Merge at Track-In
This release includes an enhancement
to handle the automatic merging of sub-lots after
a temporary split. If a lot was temporarily split
and scheduled to merge at a future time, the sub-lots
will be automatically merged at the appropriate track-in,
provided that all applicable sub-lots are at the same
location.
When you try to track in a lot that is scheduled for
a merge:
- If the parent lot and child lot(s) are all present
at this location, they will be automatically merged
at track-in.
- If one or more of the lots to be merged are not present
at this location, a message will inform you that the
lot cannot be tracked in. The message will list the
lots that are missing at this location.
Filtration of Equipment Unit
Failure Codes
On the equipment Summary tab,
the combo boxes for equipment Failure Codes are now
filtered to show only the failure codes that are valid
for the current equipment unit.
Toolbar and Workbar Font
Sizes
The font size for toolbar and
workbar button labels has been externalized.
Find Button
The Find dialog box has been
enhanced. The OK button now does the same as double-clicking
on a highlighted lot: it navigates to that lot. The
Cancel button just closes the dialog box. Also, if
you press Back after navigating to a lot's location
using Find, you will move up one level to the list
of locations for that production area. The list of
lots in the Find dialog box now shows the lot's production
area as well as location.
Lot Split
You can now prevent an immediate
lot split, if it will result in all of the lot's main
quantity being split off.
Add/Delete Lot Parameters at Current
Step
On the lot Prm tab, two new
buttons have been added, allowing you to add or delete
a lot parameter at the current step.
Fast Login Feature
You now have the option of changing
the way that the Operator Station client is launched.
By default, you are prompted for username and password
before the client is launched. However, if you turn
on the FastLogin feature, the client launches first,
and then you are prompted for username and password.
This allows you to launch the client, even when the
proxy has been shut down for maintenance or when
PROMIS is unavailable, and provides better feedback
on communications issues.
DCOp
Added support for editing of
component Ids for 2Dcomp when the lot is non-identified.
Enhanced EqpUnit Capabilities
tab
A new property that allows you
to disable editing of the check box on the capabilities
tab.
Lot SubQty
Each lot's current sub-quantity
is now displayed in the waiting and running lot lists,
and in the status bar.
Enhanced Keyboard/Bar-code
Support
Additional meta keys have been
added to the interface, such as on the Login dialog,
Find dialog, and for Relogin (Alt + Z).
EqpType Displayed on Track-Out
When a lot is tracked out, Operator
Station now shows the EqpType (or capability, if using
AdvEqp) as well as the Location to which the lot is
being moved.
Dispatch List Supports PROMIS
FFS
The Dispatch list now shows
two additional columns, Critical Ratio and Priority.
Enhanced Flexibility for Equipment
Failure Codes Display
If you use Advanced Equipment,
by default the EqpUnit Summary tab shows Failure Code
descriptions in the combo box.
Optional Reminder Messages
for Material Consumption and Rework.
On track-in, you can have a
message pop up to remind users that material consumption
will be required at this step. This message is disabled
by default.
On track-out, you can have a message pop up to advise
users that rework is allowed at this step, and to
ask if they want to rework any components at this
time. This message is disabled by default.
Rework Counter
In the top right corner of the
lot header, there is a new indicator that shows the
current rework cycle number, and the maximum allowed.
This information is read directly from PROMIS. It
is shown as "rework cycle count / maximum rework
cycle count" (example, 2/9).
Ability to Disable Rework Combo Box
When Rework Is Not An Option.
If rework is not an option at
the current step, the Rework combo box on the lot
Cont tab can be automatically disabled.
Obsolete Reject or Rework Codes
By default, Operator Station
no longer displays any reject codes that are marked
as obsolete in PROMIS. You have the option of changing
this so that obsolete codes are still displayed. |
