Eyelit’s Solar Edition™ Selected by a Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Manufacturer to Support the Production Ramp-Up of its Innovative Monocrystalline-Silicon Technology

TORONTO, Canada—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Eyelit Inc., a manufacturing software provider for visibility, control, and coordination of manufacturing operations for the aerospace & defense, discrete electronics, semiconductor, and photovoltaic (solar) industries, announced that an innovative, photovoltaic (PV) solar panel manufacturer has purchased Eyelit’s Solar Edition™ manufacturing software, which consists of Eyelit MES, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Automation, Asset Management, and Quality Management, to support its aggressive PV production ramp-up.

The deployment and strategic implementation of Eyelit's software, which was completed in just eight weeks, included the following features:

  • Complete traceability from wafer processing to fully assembled panel
  • Equipment states and PM tracking
  • Integrated tool file upload and barcode printing of lot IDs
  • Eyelit SPC module to trend critical data for tool and line qualification
  • More advanced features, such as Eyelit’s quality modules and full factory automation (to be continued in phase 2 of the implementation)

After reviewing nine manufacturing management systems, the solar company selected Eyelit’s Solar Edition™ because of its cost advantage, short implementation time, comprehensive system functionality, and a simple, but scalable architecture.
