WIRE)—Eyelit Inc., a manufacturing
software provider for visibility, control, and coordination
of manufacturing operations for the electronics, life sciences,
and semiconductor industries, announced today that Innovative
Micro Technology (IMT), a leading MEMS manufacturing partner,
purchased Eyelit's enterprise manufacturing suite to manage
and control its wafer fab R & D and production operations.
IMT becomes the ninth prominent MEMS manufacturer to select
Eyelit's product suite, continuing Eyelit's momentum in
this fast-growing industry.
Once again, Eyelit was selected over major MES competitors
following several months of evaluation because of Eyelit's
proven quick-implementation capability, application ease of use,
and demonstrated lowest total cost of ownership. It was
also important for IMT to select a product suite that provided
a complete solution, including Execution (MES), Product
Costing, Asset Management, and Quality Management.
The MES implementation (Phase I) is currently in progress
and will be completed within a month. Phase II includes
Product Costing and Asset Management, which will commence
immediately following Phase I. IMT plans to have the entire
product suite implemented by the end of the year.
