SAN JOSE, Calif.—(BUSINESS
WIRE)—Eyelit, Inc., a manufacturing software
provider for visibility, control, and coordination of manufacturing
operations for the electronics, life sciences, and semiconductor
industries, announced today Eyelit Classic™ product suite
for manufacturers on legacy MES applications. Eyelit Classic™
includes a web-centric GUI, Integration Hub, KPIs and Executive
Dashboards, Product Costing, Asset Management, and Quality
(CAPA-OCAP) applications. Also part of Eyelit Classic™
is a migration module for upgrading companies from legacy
MES systems to the next generation Eyelit MES.
Eyelit Classic™ provides companies with legacy MES systems
or companies that need a view into those legacy systems
the ability to extract, act and coordinate across the supply
chain based on information in those systems. Eyelit Classic™
also provides the ability to extend the life of those systems
by improving their overall flexibility and integration capabilities.
Customers have already benefited from Eyelit Classic™
and its enhanced, visually intuitive interfaces. They have
realized the benefits of a modern platform, resulting in
improved application functionality, and ease of use. Training
has been greatly reduced and simplified, resulting in substantially
lower costs and higher productivity—sooner. Improved
factory connectivity (e.g., tool automation) and easier integration
with other applications such as SAP™ is another benefit
of Eyelit Classic™. Customers also have flexible deployment
options and support on multiple platforms (Windows, HP-UX,
OpenVMS, Linux, Solaris, etc.). Today, industry leaders
such as Analog Devices, Freescale Semiconductor (Motorola), Kodak, Skyworks, and
Tyco M/A-COM are just a few of our many customers that have
benefited from Eyelit Classic™.
For companies looking to update their systems, Eyelit Classic™
provides a migration to Eyelit MES by taking the entire
historical and process data (metadata) and automatically
moving it into Eyelit MES. BreconRidge Manufacturing Solutions
(an EMS Company), and a DOD facility have already been successfully
migrated to Eyelit MES from legacy systems. These companies
are now enjoying significantly reduced overall cost of ownership,
and the benefits that come with a modern, state of the art
architecture.
"With this week's 35th edition of SEMICON West and
it being the 40th Anniversary of Moore's law, it is a bit
ironic with all of technology discussions on 90 nm, 60 nm,
and 45 nm processing nodes that many technology companies
today are still running operations on 25 year-old systems
based on COBOL and FORTRAN. Eyelit Classic™ provides
a path to extend the life and improve the capability of
those systems or a successfully proven migration to the
next generation MES," stated Dan Estrada, Vice President of Sales
and Business Development for Eyelit.
