Eyelit to Support Rapid Manufacturing Ramp of Copper Indium Gallium Selenide (CIGS) Solar Panel Production in First Solar Plant

SAN JOSE, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Eyelit Inc., a manufacturing software provider for visibility, control, and coordination of manufacturing operations for the aerospace & defense, electronics, life sciences, semiconductor and solar industries, announced today that an innovative photovoltaic (PV) solar cell producer has selected Eyelit’s Enterprise Manufacturing Execution Suite to reduce time to market of solar panels.

The solution includes complex tracking of unmarked product (WIP) through a series of containers maintaining full product history. Eyelit’s multi-level, object-oriented structure is used track “group” level containers, in which lower levels (of product) such as batches and/or lots are contained. Eyelit’s Service-oriented Architecture (SOA) FactoryConnect middleware allows for easy integration of tools, automation (material handling), and RFID interfaces in much less time than comparable solutions.

Subsequent phases will include integration with Oracle ERP (E-Business Suite) and deployment of Eyelit’s Quality Management solution for CAPA and Non-Conformance management.
