SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Eyelit, Inc., a manufacturing software provider for visibility, control, and coordination of manufacturing operations for the aerospace & defense, electronics, life sciences, semiconductor and solar industries, announced today that HelioVolt, a producer of highly-efficient thin film solar products, has selected Eyelit’s Enterprise Manufacturing Execution Suite (MES) to provide a cost-effective manufacturing software infrastructure for its global manufacturing network.

The Eyelit solution includes complete tracking of serialized PV glass panels, completed solar panels, associated consumables, raw material and inventory management, and tool tracking. Eyelit’s Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) FactoryConnect™ middleware will provide XML-based connectivity for factory automation, OPC layer communications and tool interfaces, as well as RFID interfaces.

To support and enable HelioVolt’s manufacturing strategy, Eyelit’s Lean Scheduling™ module, provides kanban management, queue management, and visual indicators of line performance. HelioVolt will also be utilizing eyelit Quality Management™ for experiment management, non-conformance, return material (RMA), and routing change electronic sign-off.
